Life is a series of curve balls. That is what it seems like at least. One minute you are confident in your ability to hit one out of the park and then, just like that, life sends you a curve ball and you swing and you miss. Then the doubt creeps in. Will I be able to hit the next ball? Will I swing and miss and strike out? You begin to doubt your ability to hit a single, never mind hitting a homerun. You may end up frozen in fear and decide to stop swinging all together. The problem with that is, you can still strike out even when you are not swinging.
What is going to make you stand up and start swinging again? Is there something in your life so important to you that you will hold your head high and start swinging again? The worst thing to do is to give up all together on the game. Perhaps you were really good at it and will be again. Perhaps you weren’t so good at it, but you could become great.
